1. About this policy
Traceformer, Inc. (“Daily,” “we,” “us”) operates the Daily iOS app and dailypics.app. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the app, visit the website, or contact us. It applies to Daily; other Traceformer products have their own policies.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, account identifiers, and email address from your sign-in account. If you choose Apple’s Hide My Email, we may receive a relay address. Our authentication provider also handles sign-in, session, device, and security information.
- Content and group activity: content you share, such as photos, comments, and reactions, along with group names, invitations, membership requests, and related timestamps.
- Device and service information: your time zone, push-notification tokens, app/device details, and technical logs used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses and request information.
- Subscription information: purchase identifiers, subscription status, group coverage, renewal and expiration dates, and refund information received from Apple. Apple processes payments; Daily does not collect your payment-card number.
- Support messages: information you choose to send when you contact us.
- Safety information: reports and blocks, including the accounts and group involved, the selected reason, timestamps, and whether a report has been resolved. Reports go to Daily, not to your group.
Camera access is used to take the photos you choose to share. Daily uses your time zone to schedule your group’s moments; the current app does not request precise location or access to your contacts.
3. How we use information
We use information to sign you in, manage group membership, store and display shared content, schedule moments, send enabled notifications, manage free access and subscriptions, respond to support requests, address abuse, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing it, compliance with legal duties, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
4. Who can see information
Your group: group members can see the profile and content you share with the group. Group owners see membership requests and manage approvals. New members may be able to view existing group history. People who see your content may save it or take screenshots; Daily cannot control copies made outside the service.
Service providers: we use providers for account authentication and security, hosting and data storage, notification delivery, and email and customer support. They process information needed for those services, such as account and device information for sign-in, shared content for storage, and your contact details and messages for support. Apple processes App Store purchases and provides subscription information to us. Apple and Google also handle sign-in information under their own policies when you use those sign-in options.
Other circumstances: we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect people and the service, or carry out a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer with appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current website does not include advertising trackers or optional analytics. Service providers may use necessary security technologies and technical logs.
5. Retention & deletion
We retain account and group information while needed to provide the service. Free access ending or a subscription expiring does not, by itself, delete your group’s existing history. Leaving a group does not automatically delete everything you previously shared.
You can initiate account deletion in Daily’s Settings. This starts removal of your account and associated photos, posts, comments, and reactions. Empty groups are scheduled for deletion after 30 days unless recovered.
Account deletion does not automatically delete safety reports or purchase records. These can include account and group identifiers, report reasons, and subscription transaction details. We keep them to handle reports, renewals, refunds, disputes, and legal or accounting duties. Copies may also remain in service-provider backups until their normal deletion cycle completes.
Deleting Daily or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage that separately in your Apple account. See support and deletion instructions.
6. Your choices & rights
You can manage camera and notification permissions in iPhone Settings, manage your subscription with Apple, and delete your Daily account in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator.
Contact us to exercise your rights. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
7. Security & international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Daily and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
8. Age requirement
Daily is intended for people aged 13 or older, subject to higher minimum ages and parent or guardian permission where required by local law. Daily is not intended for children under 13. If you believe someone who does not meet the applicable age requirement has provided personal information through their own Daily account, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including removing information where required. These requirements apply to account holders; everyone should also respect the privacy and rights of people shown in their photos.
9. Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. For privacy questions or requests, email support@dailypics.app with the subject “Daily privacy request.”
